We know it's hard to talk about substance use, and how it may be causing problems in your life. Did you know that there are medications available that treat opioid and alcohol use disorder? There are other treatments available for other types of substance use as well. Our RAAM clinic is here to help you make the changes you want to make regarding substance use. We will support you until you are stable and then connect you to longer-term services. RAAM services include peer support, medication, counselling and groups. Please note, RAAM services are for the person experiencing the substance use challenges, not their family members or friends. In the intake appointment, we will assess your substance use and discuss options with you. You decide if you want to pursue the next step: meeting with a medical provider who can discuss options with you. Another option, if a phone intake doesn’t work for you, is to come in person. If you would prefer this, our intake walk-in hours are between 9:00am-11:00am every weekday, except statutory holidays, at The Alex Community Health Centre main entrance under the sign that says "Family Clinic" – ask for RAAM when you arrive.
